The Bible Turns Green

The Thomas Nelson publishing company has produced the world's first eco-friendly Bible edition. Certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) from forest to printer, this edition of God's word contains recycled fiber and is part of a series of initiatives from Nelson and the Green Press Initiative to reduce paper usage in the US book publication industry.

"The Bible is the most widely circulated book on the planet and Thomas Nelson's leadership and use of environmentally responsible paper is a living legacy to the Bible's message of stewardship," said Tyson Miller, director of the Green Press Initiative. So says the press release, anyway.

Regular Bible users will want to know that the text used in this edition is the New King James Version.
