With yet another breaking story about lost data - this time it's 5,000 personal details of prison officers lost by EDS working for the Justice Department - we can safely say that the jury is not out on the issue of the government's competency to manage sensitive information on behalf of its citizens.

- oppose the introduction of ID cards - compulsory or otherwise.
